USA Haul

Firstly I'd like to thank my good friend Daska who has kindly brought me everything I wished for from her trip to the USA. My shopping list wasn't too long and I'm very happy that she agreed to do a little shopping for me :)

The first stop was Victoria's Secret. I fell in love with their Secret Garden collection and already tried many products from this line. This time I went for Lost in Fantasy (Passionfruit, Brazilian Orchid and Musk) and Luscious Kisses (Valencia Orange, Coconut and Tonka Bean) sets. Each set contains a shower gel, a body lotion and a body mist. I love both these sets, but I must admit that I prefer Luscious Kisses, because it's more sweet :) My favorite set I've tried so far is Love Spell, which was the first ever I bought from VS :) I also got some nice underwear but didn't take a photo of it ;)
VS doesn't have stores in the UK (shame!) however they have some little cosmetics selection in duty free shops at Gatwick and Stansted airports.

Next stop was Sephora and their MAKE UP FOR EVER counter. I wanted to try their HD line for a long time so I got a foundation and a cream blush.

After looking at many swatches on other blogs I went for a foundation in shade no. 118 - Flesh
(for light skin with beige undertones). I'm NC25 in Mac and Sand in Estee Lauder Double Wear (in winter).

MUFE HD Foundation no. 118
MUFE HD Foundation 118 half blended
MUFE HD Foundation 118 blended
HD Microfinish Blush in shade 6 - Quickie (salmon pink):

MUFE HD Blush no. 6 - you only need a tiny amount as it's very pigmented
MUFE HD Blush no. 6 half blended

MUFE HD Blush no. 6 blended

And the last stop was GAP. I totally love their So Pink eau de toilette, which you can't buy in the UK :( It's a very simple, light and fresh fragrance which reminds me a summer I spent in the USA back in 2003 :)

Essie - Lilacism take 2

If you scroll down to my very first post you'll see 2 photos of this lovely nail polish. But I thought that it deserves more than 2 pics so there you go:

And of course I had to stamp it :) I used Essie - Sexy Divide and a Bundle Monster image plate no. BM03. My stamping is never perfect even if I follow every single advice I read or see :( My biggest problem is picking up a whole image on the stamp..... maybe one day after million attempts it will be perfect :)

My Valentines treats ♥

As you might already know, I've taken an advantage of the great deal from the Buzz magazine (enclosed in the Saturday's Sun) and picked up this Barry M beauty gift from Superdrug (I've actually got 2 as I thought of my sister who lives back home in Slovakia as well (: )

I've tried the nail polish straight away and I must admit that the consistency of this nail polish is different from the usual Barry M polishes. But the colour is quite nice :). I've experimented and used a white polish from Revlon - White on White on my ring finger and wanted to stamp the lips design with Barry M. But unfortunately it didn't work, so I've just used the special Konad Black Polish.

I've used a Bundle Monster plate no. BM02 for this cute lips design.

And last but not least..... my gorgeous husband must have read my mind and he's got me this amazing perfume from Vera Wang with a free bag for Valentines day :) ♥♥♥

I fell in love with my crackle nail polish

I finally got a chance to discover a magic of crackle nail polish. I opt for Barry M - Instant Nail Effect as I didn't really feel like investing in the OPI Shatter to achieve the same effect as Barry M does :)
  • Barry M Turquoise
  • Barry M Instant Nail Effect
  • Seche Vite

And one important note for my UK readers: Don't forget to buy the Sun tomorrow :)

NOTD: Zoya - Loredana Mat

Today I felt like wearing a matte colour so I reached after this pretty nail polish from Zoya. I must admit that I normally prefer glossy finish on my nails but I quite like this Zoya polish. I kept looking at my nails a whole day today :)
I also tried some Konading, but it wasn't too successful so I've decided to leave for another day.....

I'm wearing 2 coats:
